We have seen an alarming surge in the heinous crimes against animals in India in the recent times. It takes enormous efforts to get the culprit arrested, which happens in only a handful cases, only to see them walk free in a matter of minutes due to the weak laws formed in 1960. INDIA UNITES FOR ANIMALS, a citizens' movement to end all forms of cruelty and abuse on animals, is being launched in over 60 cities in India and 18 cities worldwide on the 18th September 2016, to be carried on fervently by compassionate and peace loving inhabitants of India and worldover indefinitely, till the Animal Welfare Bill is passed by the Parliament.
