Hi, to all of you wonderful supporters.

Last week I met with my local Member of Parliament, Mr Milton Dick (MP) ALP - Member for Oxley, to show him this change.org petition.

Milton was interested to learn about my concerns around the cost of having type 1 diabetes in Australia. We looked at the petition sign-ups per electorate together. He was able to see that this is an issue that thousands of people across Australia care about.  

Milton was very keen to see what can be done to make this device more affordable for his constituents and more broadly the Australian public, I was very impressed by the discussion I had with him and I look forward to working with him in the future to make the Freestyle Libre more affordable for all Australians.

I strongly encourage you to get in touch with your local MP or try to meet face-to-face with them to discuss why the subsidy of Flash Glucose Monitoring is important to you. Raising awareness around this issue during this federal election period is crucial for change to happen
