Your support last month made a lot happen. A first Parliamentary debate in nearly two years on the Frozen Pensions scandal depriving half a million elderly British pensioners - including my 100-year-old Mum - of a full and fair retirement. And now, in just one week's time, campaigners are once again taking this issue to the heart of Parliament - and they need your help getting your MP involved. Please, if you have just two minutes today, could you click this link and ask your MP to meet with campaigners when they call politicians to action next week.
This is a critical opportunity to keep the momentum going. Thanks in no small part to you, my Mum’s campaign has featured in every part of the country in recent months. During her week in Parliament last December, she was on the BBC, ITV, Channel 5 and countless national papers. And during the debate in Parliament last month, her name was mentioned by every single MP in the room. That is why your support is making such a big difference – we are constantly reminding those in power that behind my Mum's calls for change stand hundreds of thousands more voices calling for action and an end to this unnecessarily cruel, illogical policy that is causing so much harm.
Next week, campaigners from the End Frozen Pension campaign are heading to Parliament to ask MPs to sign a new open letter to the Prime Minister. This letter aims to reinforce the fact that politicians from the UK and impacted countries are united in calling out this injustice. This is a big opportunity to bring more political weight behind yours and my Mum's calls for change.
With your help, your MP could be amongst these voices supporting my Mum’s fight for justice.
Please, if you can, spare just two minutes of your time today - click this link - to make sure the amazing momentum we’ve built together over the last few months can carry on.
Thank you, as always, for your generosity in support.
With heartfelt thanks,
Gill
