Today is my Mum’s 100th birthday, for which I would like to personally take the opportunity to thank each and every one of you who has taken the time to sign and share this petition. Your support was instrumental to making my Mum’s journey to Westminster this month so meaningful and shaping a lasting legacy to her campaign to put an end to the Frozen Pensions Scandal impacting half a million British pensioners worldwide.

Anne was not granted her one request to meet the Prime Minister. But her week in Parliament achieved so much to further raise the profile of this longstanding injustice, thanks in no small part to you. She is now more determined and hopeful than ever that the Prime Minister will reconsider his decision.

To give you a flavour of Anne’s incredible achievements this month, here is a selection of what we accomplished together:

1. A Meeting with the Minister for Pensions

The Prime Minister opted not to meet with my mother, but offered a meeting with the Minister for Pensions Emma Reynolds instead to discuss the Frozen Pensions policy.

2. Countless engagements in Parliament

My mother engaged with many MPs of all political colours throughout her week in Westminster. All were touched by her story and many have pledged their support for her campaign going forward.

3. Success at Prime Minister’s Questions

My Mum's visit received not one but two public mentions from Kirsty Blackman MP and Gregory Stafford MP during Prime Minister’s Questions – which my Mum attended in person - with questions directed to the Prime Minister asking him to reconsider his decision not to meet with her.

4. Unprecedented Media Coverage

The level of coverage my Mum and her campaign received was unprecedented and so deeply touching. Every major broadcaster in the country spoke to her, including the BBC, ITV News, Channel 5, GB News and the Jeremy Vine Show alongside hundreds of regional and national print outlets. The petition page provides some of these highlights and you can view one of her many interviews here

My mother’s unwavering determination and your support have proved that together we can make a big impact. Every signature, every share, and every message of encouragement has contributed to this success.

But the fight is not over yet. My Mum remains committed to bringing justice for all 453,000 ‘frozen’ pensioners across the world denied fair treatment in retirement, and will continue shedding light on the Frozen Pensions Scandal at the very highest political levels.

Thank you again for your support. It means the world to my Mum and all those affected by the Scandal. Together, we can make a difference.

With heartfelt thanks,

Gill
