Whilst our petition to bring Ali to Australia to receive end-of-life care has gained momentum over the past two days, this afternoon our hearts broke when were alerted to the news that an asylum seeker on Nauru has died. He was only 26 years old. As reported by Fairfax Media, he is the 12 person to die in Australia's offshore detention centres, and the fifth on Nauru. The Australian Government has once again failed one of the world's most vulnerable people. It's time we bring our representatives to account for their deliberate and atrocious treatment of refugees and asylum seekers.
