Dear friends, Thank you so much for signing the petition and sending it out to your friends and contacts. We have gained 10,000 signatures in two days, which is great work. Please keep letting people know about the petition and about the urgent need to bring Behnam to Australia. The organised campaign of intimidation by the Manus guards is ongoing and unrelenting and the effect on his health is extremely worrying. The symptoms of coldness when he goes to sleep, 'that feels like dying', are increasing. He lives with the constant threat of being killed. These issues have not been addressed. I will print out the petition on Monday and send it again to Malcolm Turnbull. This will be the third iteration of the petition I have sent to him. It follows my first letter which was sent on 25 November 2015, which he referred to Peter Dutton, and which has never been answered. I infer from the lack of response that there is no answer as to why Behnam is still being kept on Manus and in danger. It cannot be justified. I hope we will achieve 20,000 signatures by Monday. I hope this will make an impact on the awareness of those who can make a difference and protect this person who has risked his life for justice. Behnam also sends his thanks.
