Dear Supporter

Thank you to everyone who attended our BARAC UK Ten Year Anniversary event on Sunday, on the eve of National  Windrush Day,  where we launched the new film about the Windrush  Scandal , the people impacted and the people campaigning for years against it , entitled Is Britain Racist,  made by filmmaker Jean-Marc Aka-Kadjo who has documented our campaigning  for over two years.

You can watch the full film 1.23 hours  here.

You can watch a recording of the event here.

There is also a short clip here.

On Sunday we talked about Windrush Lessons Learned and the fact that following the publication of the long delayed report in March, nothing had happened since. This week the government announced  that they will implement all 30 recommendations  in full. However we are yet to hear the timescale for this.

To highlight the ongoing injustice faced, I wrote an article  to highlight the ongoing injustice faced by the Windrush generation and their descendants, which I am sharing here.

We still maintain, given the numerous errors, delays , continuing injustice and trauma caused to the Windrush generation and their families that there needs to be an Independent Public Inquiry into the Windrush Scandal.

It would be great if you could support the campaign  by writing to your MP to ask them to support this call for an inquiry.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Regards

Zita
