Dear Supporters

Thank you so much for signing this petition.  We believe that full justice is due to not just the Windrush generation but every generation impacted by the 'hostile environment ' which essentially amounts to racist policies and laws seeking to criminalise our communities.

That is why an Independent Public Inquiry is essential in order to expose the full extent and truth of what has and continues to occur, looking not just at past actions and current impacts but the future impacts on those directly targeted but their children, children's  children and so on, including psychologically,  socially and economically .

To explain a bit more about BAME Lawyers for Justice, we are an umbrella group of several black and race equality organisations together with individual lawyers and several Windrush justice groups. 

We are campaigning for the rights and justice for all those impacted and recently organised a Parliamentary roundtable which was hosted by Diane Abbott and the national Windrush Day of Action taking place in several cities across the UK.
