Point #8 of Petition Resolved

The following point of our petition has a date for completion:

"Extend the public WiFi range to cover the downtown core, not just the waterfront to Meridian Place. Not only would the landing page be another great space to share an anti-harassment awareness campaign, but it would provide a line of communication to women and girls who have a device but not a cell service provider."

Keenan Aylwin, Councillor of Ward 2, reached out to Director of IT in regards to this point and received the following response:

"I anticipate Phases 4 & 5 (Dunlop Street from Mulcaster to Toronto) installation will be completed shortly after the Dunlop Street constructions is completed.   Dunlop Street construction should wrap up late November, and wifi should be completed by mid Dec."
