We are a group of parents and kids deeply impacted by the news of the Universal Kids channel's impending shutdown on March 6, 2025. This channel, which was originally launched as 'PBS Kids Sprout' in 2005, won our hearts. We spent countless hours enjoying our favorite shows, and it soon became a significant part of millions of kids' daily lives, reaching almost 1.1 million viewers at its peak. In 2013, NBCUniversal rebranded it to 'Sprout,' and then in 2017 to 'Universal Kids.' With each rebranding, the channel lost its precious viewership, eventually losing its popularity altogether. The proposed shutdown has left us saddened. We don't want to lose this channel that has been a source of educational entertainment for our kids. We urge NBCUniversal to cancel the shutdown and keep Universal Kids on the air. Let's band together before it's too late, and save Universal Kids.
