Prevent the Rezoning of Our Residential Area for a Walmart Supercenter

The Issue

Our community is a peaceful residential area, crafted through years of planning and love. We consciously chose to build and buy in this bedroom community, cherishing the quiet and safe environment.

The recent proposal to rezone our neighborhood for commercial purposes, particularly to build a Walmart Supercenter, threatens our cherished tranquility. As homeowners and residents, we want to keep our community residential, and we firmly express our opposition to the proposed commercial rezoning.

The infiltration of such a large-scale commercial entity into our residential area will not only disrupt the serenity but also may devalue our properties. According to a study commissioned by the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy, such commercial intrusions can depreciate residential property values by as much as 13% (Hicks, M., & Wilburn, N., 2001).

Let us stand united in the face of this significant threat to our peaceful living. Let our voice convey our determination to maintain the residential character of our community. Sign this petition to oppose the rezoning of our neighborhood for a commercial entity and say no to the proposed Walmart Supercenter.
