I write this not only as a concerned citizen but as someone who has a deeply personal connection to the South Carolina Motorplex. Growing up, this wasn't just a racetrack to me, it was a home. Each rev of the engine, every cheering crowd, was an intrinsic part of my life.

Presently, our cherished Motorplex is under threat. A potential rezoning of Highway 4 and Dragstrip Road could transform our community hub into a bland suburban subdivision. This won't merely disrupt our town's character; it also threatens the dynamic racing culture that feeds us both emotionally and economically.

The South Carolina Motorplex draws motorsport enthusiasts from across the state and beyond, significantly contributing to our local economy. Not only that, it has fostered a close-knit community of racing fans that call this place home. We mustn't allow a decision, which carries substantial historical and community implications, to be made without proper consideration.

I urge everyone to join the fight to protect our South Carolina Motorplex and say NO to the rezoning. It's not just about preserving a racetrack; it's about sustaining our history, our community, and the piece of South Carolina that we love. Please sign and support our cause.
