Prevent the Euthanasia of Two Rottweilers for Acting Out of Fear

Prevent the Euthanasia of Two Rottweilers for Acting Out of Fear
The Issue
As a longtime dog lover, this issue hits close to home. News has emerged of an owner who wants his two rottweilers euthanized because they bit people outside his home. Dogs are sentient beings, and their behaviors often result from feeling provoked or scared. As many can attest, most cases of aggressive behavior are due to the owner’s lack of proper training, not the dogs' inherent behavior.
According to American Humane, the U.S. sees around 4.5 million dog bites each year. However, vast majority of these cases can be attributed to human provocation or negligence, rather than aggressive dogs. When properly trained and socialized, Rottweilers, like any breed, can be peaceful and loving creatures. It's unjust to take away their lives due to the failings of their owner.
We urge the involved parties to reconsider the decision of euthanasia, and instead encourage them to rehabilitate the rottweilers or find them a new home with a responsible owner who can provide them with the necessary training and love they need. Let's stand up for the rights of animals who can't speak for themselves. Please, add your voice to ours and sign this petition.
