DON’T JEOPARDISE WHAT IM FIGHTING FOR!
Message to the People of Bloxwich and Walsall
I am speaking to you all today because I need your help.
For the past two years I have been doing everything I can to bring back a school that our community needs. I know many of you have seen the recent video. I am not here to point fingers or name anyone, but I am asking every single person to think carefully before acting.
Please do not enter the Sneyd School site. Please do not damage or destroy it.
There are conversations taking place that I cannot yet speak about publicly. I wish I could tell you everything, but at this stage I cannot. What I can say is that I gave my word to fight for a solution for education in Walsall… for both mainstream and SEND children. That work is continuing.
I do not want to see a repeat of what happened with Bloxwich Hospital. We cannot fight to save something if it is damaged beyond repair.
If there is even a chance that Sneyd can once again serve our community, then we must protect it, not destroy it.
This is not about taking sides. It is about thinking of the future of our children and our community. Every act of vandalism or trespass risks undermining the work that has been taking place behind the scenes over the last two years.
I cannot make promises because many decisions are beyond my control. However, I can give you my word that progress is being made, and I ask you to trust the process a little longer.
I also speak for those who have fought to protect Reedswood. My hope has always been to find a solution that benefits both Mainstream and SEND education while respecting our communities. Hopefully, in time, more can be shared.
So I ask you one final time:
Please stay out of the school.
Please do not damage it.
Do not risk jeopardising the work that has been taking place on behalf of this community.
Ask yourselves this:
Do you want to be the reason that future generations of mainstream and SEND children lose the opportunity to have a school within their own community?
Let's stand together as one community and protect what could become part of our future!
