One of my closest friends, who is a part of the committed staff in the break room at West Warwick middle school  shares her fear of being laid off due to the budget cuts that the school is considering. But more so, she fears the impact this would have on the students - the children who depend on this break room every day. The break room is more than just a space - it offers support, peace, and a conducive environment for students during their stressful school day. Unfortunately, this student-necessary asset is currently under threat amidst budget cuts. Losing such a facility would not only deprive the school staff of their jobs but also leave the students bereft of a space that contributes significantly to their overall development and school experience. Let us unite our voices to prevent this proposed closure. Keep the staff employed, and keep the break room operational for the benefit of the students of Deering  middle school. We cannot compromise the well-being of our children who are our future. Please sign this petition to keep the break room open.
