Advocate for Sustainable Educational Funding

The Walk to Save Surrey Schools has been organized by the Future Entrepreneur Society, a youth lead initiative. Here is more information about their peaceful demonstration, happening tomorrow, April 13, from 1:00–3:00 PM:

"Depending on the weather, we are aiming to walk 5 km, and the event will be spread into 2 main sections. We will first have a short speech from the organization's co-funders, Ben and Gordon, along with other guest speakers that will touch on the intent of this walk. These speeches will also briefly outline our aims for future events. If anyone wants to also speak up during this period, they can feel welcome to do so. Afterwards, we will begin the 5km walk, where we have volunteers holding up signs for the checkpoint. Some light snacks will also be provided during the walk for anyone that wants a quick boost in energy. The event will take place from 1PM-3PM, but may end early if all walkers are finished, so the time given is just an approximation.

We will follow the same path as the Coldest Night Of the Year. "
