Thank you so much for your support! We've made it through the first week, but this is just the beginning.

Today I reached out to a local affordable housing organization, Thistle to ask how we can help get them be included during the rezoning, permitting, code rewriting, and rebuilding. Details to come... https://thistle.us/company/

There's so much to take in. Where homes were fully destroyed, the clean up includes removing debris plus the possibly toxic 3" - 6" deep of topsoil, in a dry climate with pretty fragile soil. They say the fire damage area is over 6000 acres, but I'm not sure if that means removing the soil from 6000+ acres or if some of that is where homes still stand.

I've been collecting info from city & county meetings, the Office of Emergency Management, the low income clinic, etc. on my Facebook page. If you or friends are affected by the burn, check out the posts (You don't have to friend me, they're public).

One day at a time!
- Beth
