The Issue

I am a resident of the Brown County area in Wisconsin, and I live near the beautiful Fox River. For decades, our community has pooled resources, time, and effort into restoring and maintaining the health of our river. We have spent millions cleaning and preserving this natural resource, understanding its importance not just for us, but for future generations.

Now, our community is faced with the prospect of an artificial intelligence data center being constructed on homeowner properties right here in Greenleaf. This development threatens to undo years of tireless work and dedication. The presence of such an industrial complex could severely deplete and pollute the river we hold dear.

AI data centers are known for their immense water consumption and potential pollution. According to reports, data centers can use up to a million gallons of water per day for cooling purposes, and any mishap or regular discharge can introduce harmful pollutants into nearby water sources. This is a risk our community cannot afford to take.

Moreover, the loss of residential land to industrial use poses another significant threat to our town's character and quality of life. Greenleaf is a tranquil, nature-rich area where homeowners cherish their space and surroundings. The introduction of such a large-scale industrial facility would disrupt the peace and community spirit that brought many of us here.

Our goal is to preserve the ecological and communal integrity of Greenleaf, ensuring that our hard-earned quality of life remains intact. We propose a thorough environmental and social impact assessment before any such construction is greenlit. Engaging with local environmental experts, municipal authorities, and homeowners can help us find alternative sites that do not threaten our water resources or community character.

By signing this petition, you are supporting the residents of Greenleaf in safeguarding our environment and way of life, encouraging responsible development that respects our community's unique needs. Please join us in appealing to local government and planning bodies to reconsider this location for the data center and to prioritize the conservation of our Fox River and community integrity. Sign to protect our homes, natural resources, and future.

I'm not sure if you have been recently made aware that Cloverleaf has decided to remove the Village of Greenleaf from their project site. Thank you for sending me an email and letting me know we're not in the fight alone.
