However, we strongly believe that such a move would effectively increase government and personal spending, instead of curbing costs.

It provides an invaluable service, thus making its closing not just devastating for us but indeed many others who hold this place close to their health needs.

In 2018, it was reported that private health care could cost nearly twice as much as VA care. This situation tallies with our current plight - that shutting down a government-run home, such as Desert Sage, would indeed cost more to the government in the long run, and dilute the quality of care received by us veterans and our families.
