Info Regarding Tip Closure and hours reduction
Yesterday there was a scrutiny call in with regards to the tip closure at Birstall and also the change of hours at meltham and bromley farm, this was called in by cllrs Lisa Holmes , Cllr Elizabeth Smaje, Cllr Caroline Holt, Cllr Mark Thompson & Cllr Joshua Sheard
they put a case forward to have the decision halted and referred to Cabinet with proper reports and consultation.
And they were successful
So now the decision making powers for this have been taken from the Council Officers and the matter will be put before the Cabinet.The Reasons for this decision:
were Lack of openness and understanding, Lack of engagement with ward Councillors and users and Alternative options had been disregarded without being shared openly,
