Petition for Immediate Access to Gaza’s Maternal and Neonatal Hospital

Thousands of newborns and mothers in Gaza are dying  not just from bombs, but from the collapse of all medical infrastructure. Right now, there is no functioning maternal or neonatal hospital in Gaza.

A fully equipped, ready-to-deploy maternal and neonatal hospital is standing by at the Jordanian border. It can save countless lives but it is being blocked from entry. The only barrier is diplomatic and logistical approval, particularly from allies like the UK government.

Every day of delay costs lives. Premature babies are dying because incubators are unavailable. Mothers are giving birth without sterile conditions, pain relief, or emergency surgery access. These are preventable deaths.

We call on the British Government to:

• Immediately back and secure safe humanitarian access for the maternal and neonatal hospital into Gaza.
  Support safe passage for British doctors, midwives, and nurses to operate it.
• Apply sustained diplomatic pressure to guarantee the hospital’s protection from military attack.
• Recognise this as an urgent, life-saving, apolitical medical mission led by UK citizens.

Why this matters:

This is not about politics it’s about life. It’s about ensuring mothers survive childbirth, newborns have a chance to live, and medical care reaches the most vulnerable. Britain must act now to prevent needless deaths while a functioning hospital sits ready just across the border.
