Much thanks to those who contributed towards Rebecca's GFM.

NOW, THE BAD NEWS :
Remember the three years tiger breeding program where Syla a female Bengal tiger was on loan from Maharani Zoo to the Bandung Zoo? A year after Syla birthed her first set of two cubs, she gave birth to her second litter of two on August 22nd 2018. One cub was consumed by Syla. The female cub who survived was recently named by the new Mayor of Bandung.

[ Note: Shortly after the birth of the first set of cubs on August 7th 2017, Bandung Zoo protectionist Sybelle Foxcroft of Cee4Life claimed that Syla had shown "aggresion" towards the cubs, so they had to be "taken away"and hand raised. Is the "aggression" a spin by Sybelle Foxcroft to help the Bandung Zoo justify the removal of the cubs from their mother? Or if the "aggression" is indeed true, why would the Bandung Zoo keepers to continue to breed Syla? Those of us who do not advocate for zoos are well aware that breeding innocent animals in zoos has very little, if at all to do with education or conservation. They are bred to replace old tired animals and boost profits ]

More Bad News: It was reported by several media in October 2018 that elephants in Taman Safari, Bogor, Indonesia were beaten and stabbed by their handlers. Taman Safari is one of the groups touted by Cee4Life helping the Bandung Zoo. Taman Safari Bogor is run by Mr Tony Samampau, Secretary General of PKBSI (Indonesia Zoo and Aquarium Association). Taman Safari actively breeds their animals and has a baby zoo.

Caution: if you contact Cee4Life be prepared for half truths and spins...the Bandung Zoo protectionist also claimed that Syla was "diagnosed with being highly unlikely of being able to conceive" and the birth of the 2 cubs were a "surprised birth" (yet Syla was loaned out to the Bandung Zoo in a 3 years breeding program! Really?)

On the one hand Sybelle Foxcroft of Cee4life condemned the Temple Tigers (rightly so) but on the other hand, she continues to sing the praises of a zoo that breeds big cats and other species for profit.

The zoo protectionist continues to deny that there is any breeding program in the Bandung Zoo even though the zoo officials had acknowledged and boasted about their breeding program to various local media. Despite her claims, bull hooks remain in use in the Bandung Zoo and the elephants remain shackled in their pens!

I guess being part of the Bandung Zoo "team", Sybelle Foxcroft will do everything to protect her vested interest including turning a blind eye to animal exploitation.

Please boycott all zoos and boycott Indonesia. Please sign and share the following 2 petitions as they linked to this petition and thank you for advocating for the poor animals. Thank you for your continue support.
