Giving Voice to the Voiceless 1M Strong, Part 3 - There she goes again... Hello! Here is the final installment of the 3 parts update. There is copious amounts information out there and sadly, some people lie so much that it is hard to keep up but, I will endeavor to remain diligent for the animals and will call out lies when I see them... After Ozone the orangutan from Bandung Zoo's smoking video went viral, Sybelle Foxcroft of Cee4Life immediately put out 3 live streams which appears to be preemptive damage control to protect the Bandung Zoo owners. When one of her face book followers asked how Ozone was doing, she said he was "burnt a little, but he is OK". This contradicted what the Bandung Zoo had conveyed to their local media...i.e. there was no mention of any burns. { Anyone who watched the video of Ozone could see that sadly, he was very apt in holding the cigarette and was smoking like a pro. It is very troubling that Sybelle saw something very different from all of us } Note: Ozone was also captured smoking by a random visitor, in a 2016 Youtube video, and Sybelle did not hesitate to spin this 2016 Youtube video, implying what happened to Ozone recently, was possibly a repeat offence by the same perpetrator. { Picture of Ozone via AFP/Getty Images } Here are some transcripts from her 3 live streams... In her 1st live stream, she made threats to numerous people including Rebecca and I. She insinuated that we were in cahoots with the perpetrator who flicked a cigarette into Ozone's enclosure. By the way, the perpetrator gave himself up and told Jakarta Post that Ozone was already smoking when he got to his enclosure. He said that when Ozone finished smoking, he begged him for a cigarette, so he lit one and threw it into the enclosure without thinking http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2018/03/09/man-says-sorry-for-offering-orangutan-cigarette.html In her 2nd live stream, she said she was in Bandung. She said, "He's { Ozone } picked it up { the cigarette } and he's put it in his mouth and he is burn, burn himself here" {She indicated where Ozone was burnt by moving her fingers all over her mouth}. She excoriated the media saying, "and there some, um, some, somebody, I think SBS Dateline, reported, big headline, orangutan fed or given cigarette, and he knows how to smoke it, and you know what, that is the worst type of journalism I have ever seen". She also told her followers that Rebecca and I are "unstable", pretending that she was concerned about our mental health but it was nothing more than her attempt to discredit us and protect the Bandung Zoo { Thanks for your disingenuous concern Sybelle, our mental health is just peachy } Sybelle reiterated that she (Cee4life) was "successful" in removing the use of all bull hooks by the mahouts in Bandung Zoo. She tried to spin Rebecca's One Animal World investigative video captured in October 2017 which showed that bull hooks remain very much in use by claiming that she was unaware of the existence of a third bull hook. Then made more excuses saying that the mahout who was using the third bull hook was giving her some trouble and, due to his training, he is afraid to go near Selma or Ira unless he carries a bull hook but it did not mean that "he was smacking the elephant on her head". Just how the heck does Sybelle know whether the mahout was or was not "smacking" Selma or Ira's head with it? Was she there to monitor the elephant rides? Pictures can also be found online where at least 2 different mahouts were seen with bull hooks, not one as she claimed. It also appears that the mahouts have been told by Bandung Zoo to hide their bull hooks under the cloth they use to drape over the elephants. As per Part 1 of my update, a fish hook has also been captured on video as an intimidation tool against Selma and Ira. Not sure if you all heard, but Scorpion Wildlife Trade Monitor Group won an award last year. { Congratulations to them } In any event, Sybelle appeared very upset and angry that they won an award, and set about trashing them, saying "for some unknown reason, some organization decides to give Scorpion, a Award" ... "they got this pat on the back, they got on the media, you know, good on you" ... "I don't know what you got to do for awards these days, but it seems like um, lie through your teeth, and uh you know, tell a whole load of crap to people, and make yourselves out to be some heroes" ... "the glory of that uh, little statue is just, to me, is just crap, award's crap, and they are not being given to uh, that, that was just abnormal, and uh, what a joke", ... "Scorpion got a prize for nothing"... In her 3rd live stream, Ozone whom she claimed "was burnt a little, but he is OK" morphed into... "Ozone is doing well, he's got a few burns and stuff on him you know, he has got lip burns, he's got cheek burns, he's got finger burns and um, but he is OK”. Really Sybelle? If Ozone truly sustained the burns Sybelle claimed, then he is NOT, "OK". We now that was a lie ... On March 9th 2018, the Director General of Conservation of Natural Resources and Ecosystems (KSDAE) published their press conference report stating that Bandung Zoo and BBKSDA { Nature Conservation Agency } team examined Ozone and, Ozone was declared healthy...NO INJURIES OR BURNS WERE REPORTED! https://www.facebook.com/datinfo.phka/posts/1550793505018198 It is amazing how Sybelle was so eager to insinuate to her supporters and followers that Rebecca and I had something to do with Ozone being given a cigarette, eager to tell them about the "burns" he supposedly received but conveniently failed to share KSDAE presser report with them. I guess she had to pretend she is unaware of it otherwise, she would have to admit that she fabricated Ozone's injuries and that, she lied! If Sybelle has any prove that Rebecca and I were behind Ozone's recent smoking video and that we purposefully set out to harm Ozone, my advice to her ... please give her prove to the police. Don't make claims and innuendos based on nothing! It is not at all flattering for a "Conservationist and an Animal Advocate"! Please do not support zoos. The only way zoos will phase out is, if people stop visiting them. There are other ways to learn about animals.
