Hello! Remember the Indonesia Animal Welfare Society (IAWS), the NGO that we helped form in Indonesia? Today they made an incredible announcement. As a result of national and International attention/pressure on animal cruelty and lack of animal welfare in Indonesia, the Indonesian Animal Welfare Society, along with IAR Indonesia, Scorpion Illegal Trade Monitoring Group, and Planet Indonesia were invited to meet with staff at the Persident Widodo's office on December 18th 2017 for initial discussion http://iawsociety.org/2017/12/19/iaws-visit-to-the-president-of-indonesias-office/ The discussions are in the very early stages but a step in the right direction.
