Sadly this is often very sensitive work so as to ensure we can keep an open dialogue with the authorities. I am meeting with Scorpion Foundation next week here in Bali and will be discussing further. Where is the sanctuary located? In Indonesia? I tried downloading the comments but it crashed so they were not included. It is a huge file! I will try to download the comments again. Radio personality Miss Sarah twitted out this petition just now. I messaged her via Facebook to ask if she can talk about it on her radio show. She messaged back and said it will be one of the topics she will be talking about today! You can stream at Q98fm.com or there’s a free app for phones and tablets. Just search Q98 and check her show out. Her show starts at 10am. She will be talking about it around 1pm. Many of you asked about starting a fund to buy the bears. I am not sure who I would speak to about this but will speak to the Sanctuary who wants to rescue them and see what they say. The first thing that needs to happen is for Change for Animals and Scorpion to start a dialogue with zoo officials to agree to release the bears. Until this happens there can be no rescue. If the zoo officials agree to release the bears, a GoFund Page will be started to go towards the rescue mission. If I start one now and they will not release the bears, it will be a nightmare to refund everyone. Please know that I am not trying to be pessimistic here. It is what the sanctuary advice. So hang on to your wallets and purses for now. The bears will need your help when the time comes. Thanks for all your support Ps: I have not forgotten about all the other animals. For now we need to start small/piece meal. Like everyone, I would like to see the zoo shut down (I don’t know if it is feasible, but you never know) As for now I am starting with the bears and if we succeed, I hope this will ignite the process to the hell hole shutting down! Let’s do it for the bears note. Just got response from Four Paws US. said they cant help. Their HQ in UK told a petition supporter who wrote them that they cant help.
