At WAZA we take all allegations of animal neglect and abuse very seriously, as evidenced by the recent release of our two global strategies on Animal Welfare and Conservation. WAZA is a membership organisation comprising of over 330 leading zoo, aquariums, regional associations, affiliate and corporate members. Unfortunately, Bandung Zoo, is not one of our current members so we have no information over their practices and protocols. However, I will contact the relevant regional association, SEAZA, and inform them of your complaint and ask that they investigate these allegations fully.
