Good Morning All-
We'll be giving a Facebook talk at 7pm eastern time tonight to a political group in Virginia (The Hampton Roads Green Party). This is on Facebook, you can sign up for it here. While we are a strictly non-partisan group, we are very happy to give talks to political organizations, civic groups, or other groups interested in the student loan issue. If you are a part of a group that might want to hear us- particularly if you live in one of the states that owe more than their state budgets in student loan debt- we are happy to accomodate the request. Please contact us. We love speaking to conservative groups in particular- this is where we can accomplish the most in educating people about this vicious lending system!
Our petition is now over a million signatures, but it needs more than just your signature to succeed. To that end, we've come up with 5 simple actions we're asking everyone to take:
- Follow us on Twitter and re-tweet this.
- Paste the link to it across social media platforms.
- Tell your local media to report on it.
- Get at least ten people you know to sign.
- Give it a boost.
When everyone does this, we'll have well over ten million signatures. There is no reason we cannot get 30 million or more signatures on this (remember: 80% of all student loan borrowers were never going to be able to repay their loans before the pandemic. This is 40 million people who, if they knew about the petition, would be highly likely to sign it!).
Please do your part. These are your loans, your problem.
