Good Sunday All-

I have a feeling this is going to be a fateful week for us.  We have a very strong article publishing today that we'll need help pushing out the beginning of the week.  Then on Friday, we have our Town Hall with Matt Taibbi, Catherine Austin Fitts (former Sallie Mae boardmember) and Tom Borgers (federal investigator).  I hope you registered for it.  Beyond that, I just have a sneaking feeling something else is going to happen...

We re-worded the petition to make it more impactful.  Tell us what you think of it.

I hope you all are seeing how we made student loan cancellation a first-order agenda item in presidential politics.  Make no mistake, all the stuff we are hearing about student loan cancellation by executive order started with our petition, and on that the record is clear.  We should all be very happy about that...particularly if you helped.

HOWEVER:  the proposals being floated right now...to be blunt...ALL SUCK!  This is a catastrophically failed lending system.  ALL OF THE LOANS MUST BE CANCELLED ENTIRELY.  We simply cannot/will not tolerate another lame, fakey half-measure that really only succeeds in perpetuating the lending system.  It's too dangerous to the country.  The stakes are too high. 

What we do right now matters.  A LOT.  EVERYTHING gets a lot easier for us when the petition grows to a more appropriate size...

Here are 5 steps you can take right now to make that happen:

Email -Tell a few people you know to sign the petition

Boost -Help to promote the petition

Retweet -Tweet, Retweet, be creative!

Press -Contact your local media.  Tell them to report on the petition

Demand -Tell the President to cancel the loans by executive order!

Beyond that, I implore you all to please make a donation at this time.  We are needing to raise $250 in the next two days.
