Hey Everyone-
I'm really glad to report that our petition reached a half-million signatures last night. This is a great start, but there are 44 million people in the country who are very distressed on their student loans (this is 80% of the total number of people who either have- or are cosigned on student loans).

We need to reach a million to be taken seriously. This will happen when each of us puts some effort into getting this petition out there.
Please remember that our plan is the ONLY plan out there that will ACTUALLY result in total loan cancellation. The other plans are weak, half-measures that simply will not work given that Congress will never pass a meaningful loan cancellation bill, and that the Department of Education will not administer whatever Congress might pass in a fair way.
So...We are it. Whether, and when we can get to a million signatures and beyond depends entirely and totally upon how hard you help us push it.
We can get these loans gone before the election if we try. Please Try.

- Getting ten people to sign would be helpful.
- Boosting the petition would be helpful.
This is not a "watch it happen" endeavor. This is a MAKE IT HAPPEN struggle. I hope you can appreciate that fact.
