Dear esteemed members of the SLU community,

It has recently come to public attention that the Billiken logo and mascot have been changed. We feel that this change did not involve the large majority of the students, faculty, and staff of Saint Louis University and does not reflect the wishes of the community as a whole. Furthermore, the new logo and mascot are radically different and markedly more grotesque than the original Billiken logo and mascot we have come to love. Therefore, the goal of this petition is to shed light on the dissatisfaction of many who feel that the new logo and mascot do not reflect the preferences of the community at large and who want to have a say in changes made to the logo and mascot.
