Bad news at Stony Brook / Like

Unfortunately, friends, there is lots of bad news at Stony Brook. Before we get into it, please LIKE our Facebook page, "Save Our Stony Brook" (https://www.facebook.com/saveoursbu). We will be calling for an audit of SB and protesting on campus in mid-April. Stay updated! Now the bad news: 1) Most adjuncts remain cut with no plans to rehire them for the 2018/2019 academic year. 2) The admin has cut the undergrad pharmacology major: http://www.sbstatesman.com/2018/02/25/college-of-arts-and-sciences-cuts-undergraduate-pharmacology-program/ This information was kept from students. There was a donor to save the program, but the donor's offer was declined (as unsustainable). 3) The administration explained the cuts to adjuncts by saying they wanted to hire full-timers.
