Whereas members of the United States Coast Guard USCG, a military organization, are currently not getting paid during the Government shutdown because they are administratively housed within the Department of Homeland Security, this is a Petition to move the USCG to the Department of Defense which houses the Army, Navy, Air Force & Marines.

Accordingly, we hereby request an Executive Reorganization and the creation of a new Military Department 1.4.4 Department of the Coast Guard.
