Named After Mom Campaign started by Hope For Better India Foundation Is Requesting Govt. Of India To Make Mothers Name As Middle Name Of The Child By Default In All Govt. Issued Identity Documents Which At Present Is Fathers Name As Middle Name By Default.  

Both parents play an equal part in bringing up the child, so father’s surname become part of child's identity by birth then mothers name too should become middle name of the child's identity by birth !

Our Demand To The Govt Of. India Is : 

1) Make Mothers Name As Middle Name Of The Child By Default In All Govt. Issued Identity Documents .  

2) Give Option To Choose Mothers Maiden Name As Surname Of The Child . 

It’s a step to break the patriarchy, promote gender equality & honour your mother by taking her name !  

We have heard many people say Whats in a name & our answer is a lot .

The campaign is not about Men or women.

Its not about being right or wrong .

Its about Equality .

Its About acknowledging Mothers existence .

Its About showing mothers name matters just like fathers 

Its about bringing a change
