9 Signatures to go to reach target of 1,000 signatures

Dear supporters, I have been overwhelmed by the amount of support that has been forthcoming for the petition, by Mormons, Christians and ex-Mormons of a wide range of beliefs and backgrounds. The supporters have included current and former Mormon church leaders, including Bishops, Elders Quorum, Relief Society and Primary Presidents. The supporters include those who have personally suffered harm as a result of the Mormon Church's policies and practices as well as their loved ones who have decided to take a stand on their behalf. The supporters include volunteers tasked with implementing the church's policies but due to their professional training in psychology, law, criminology, child development, etc, do not feel comfortable in carrying out their responsibilities. A large number of people have come forwards offering to contribute case studies to enable a presentation of the issues to the media. The stories have been heart-rending and painful to read. There have even been offers of assistance to volunteer in coordinating and driving forwards the campaign. I just wanted to extend a big 'thank you' to all who have contributed and look forwards to driving this forwards and potentially opening up a forum for discussion on how to leverage the 1,000 petitions both locally and globally.
