Weldon Angelos is a good and close friend of Luke's and was formerly at FCI Mendota with him. Weldon is presently developing a film titled "The Sentenced", based, in part, on his documentary "Unlikely Allies". This film will portray Weldon's story of how one initial, non-violent drug charge, for which he was sentenced to a 55 year prison term, ended his promising music career but ultimately provided him with a platform to become a national spokesperson for needed criminal justice reform. In the planned film, Weldon discusses Luke 's own case and challenges why he remains incarcerated.
