To all the supporters,

First of all, I would like to say THANK YOU for the overwhelming response and the signatures we have received in such a short period of time. As of writing this, we have over 830 signatures, and the petition is less than 48 hours old. Words cannot express the gratitude and passion the tennis community has shown to preserve these courts. I am incredibly happy to have such a supportive community.

I wanted to provide an update. After discussing the matter and reaching out to the parks department with this petition, as well as contacting the mayor and others, I recently received a response from the Hudson County Parks Department regarding our petition.

Michael Ascolese from the department assured us that the County recognizes the high usage of the tennis courts at Washington Park and has no intention of converting any of them into pickleball courts.

When discussing this topic with Mike, I highlighted the overwhelming number of signatures on our petition and the high usage of the courts. This is a significant victory for our cause, and it wouldn't have been possible without your tremendous support.

While this feels like a victory, I do want to once make a zoning meeting to discuss this further and find ways to assist pickleball players to get area for them to play their game that is seperated from the tennis courts.

Thank you for your continued support and for helping to ensure that our voices were heard. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me.

Thank you,
Dev Chatterjee
