Woollahra Council Meeting next Monday will reconsider use of Trumper Park Tennis Centre

Dear Trumper Park Tennis Centre Supporter 

I am glad to let you know that Councillors Matthew Robertson, Alexander Andruska and Merrill Witt are putting a resolution on the agenda for the Woollahra Council meeting next Monday 28 October 2024, requesting the removal of multi-sports use (pickleball, basketball etc)  of two tennis courts from the proposed tender for the Trumper Park Tennis Centre.

 If this resolution receives support from a majority of the 15 Councillors, it will mean the tender issued allows for the continued operation of Trumper Park for tennis only, and the primary purpose of this petition will be achieved.

Attending the meeting

I, along with some other supporters, will be attending the Council meeting next Monday. The meeting starts at 6:30 PM in the Woollahra  Council Chambers at 536 New South Head Road, Double Bay. 

It can be really helpful and persuasive to have a lot of people in the public gallery so that all the Councillors see how important this issue is for the community. If you are able to attend the meeting to show support that would be very welcome.

Email correspondence supporting the resolution

Even if you cannot attend the meeting, the other thing you can do is send an email to the Council supporting the resolution – your email will be included in the meeting papers given to all the Councillors if it is received by the Council by 10am next Monday. 

When the formal agenda for the meeting is published on the Council’s website , probably tomorrow, I will post another update telling you how to send an email supporting the resolution that will be included in the meeting papers
