The Holmdel Board of Zoning Adjustment will hold a hearing tomorrow, September 4th., regarding the latest KIP20/Andrews Management proposal to develop an office park in violation of the zoning standards for a R40A Residential/Agricultural plot at 125-127 Red Hill Road.
The last meeting was canceled at the last minute, but now they are going ahead to ask for a use variance -- since their requested use of commercial development within the rural Gateway to Holmdel is not permitted. As before, they seek to pave over land that has been farmland since pre-colonial times and replace it with a strip-mall suitable office park that, under Holmdel's recently adopted master plan, should exist either on RT 35 or within the specially reserved areas near the Bayshore Hospital on Beers St.
A new development is the proposal to create a "site[sic] triangle easement" to aid turning traffic visibility in a lot in Middletown. Not sure how that is the business of Holmdel, but I'm not an expert here! Presumably this is in response to traffic studies that do not support the addition of more congestion at Red Hill Rd.
Please support us in opposing this development!
