Hi all,
Thanks to the parents who came/joined the CEC6 meeting!
Our District 6 Superintendent, Mr Renzo Martinez (rmartin8@schools.nyc.gov) heard our concerns and knows about your signatures. We will come back next month to ask for responses to our questions...
- Which alternatives were considered?
- Why were they dismissed?
- How was the community of parents, teachers, and neighbors using the schoolyard involved?
- What are the building plans? Where exactly? How big?
- What will happen during construction? Will students be expected to learn inside a construction zone with all the noise and dust, without a schoolyard?
Please email our superintendent to remind him to look for answers :)
We’ve reached 408 signatures on this petition, but we need more... Anyone impacted can sign. Signing does not mean that you agree with all the concerns or any of the alternatives. Comments are encouraged: more ideas, more solutions... and people can share their positions...
Most people still don't know about the issue.
Posting to Facebook groups, Instagram stories, WhatsApp, or sending it directly via text or email all make a big difference.
Thanks for being part of this!
