 LETTER TEMPLATE:

Dear FCPA Board Members,

I am writing to express my strong support for keeping the existing pickleball courts in our neighborhood. As a resident of [Your Neighborhood], I have witnessed firsthand the numerous benefits these courts bring to our community, including:

1. Promoting Physical Health: Pickleball is a low-impact sport suitable for all ages, encouraging residents to stay active and healthy. The courts have become a popular spot for regular exercise, benefiting both young and older adults.

2. Social Connections: The courts serve as a vital gathering place, fostering friendships and a sense of community. Many residents, including myself, have made lasting connections through playing pickleball.

3. Enhancing Safety and Well-being: Having a dedicated recreational area helps keep our neighborhood safe by providing a structured, healthy activity for residents. The courts are a testament to our commitment to maintaining a vibrant and engaged community.

4. Accessible and Inclusive Recreation: The pickleball courts are accessible to people of all ages and abilities, making them an inclusive space for everyone in our community to enjoy.

Removing these courts would be a significant loss to our neighborhood. They are not just a place for sport but a hub for community interaction and well-being. I urge the Fairfax County Park Authority to consider the profound positive impact these courts have had and to allow them to remain in place.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

[Your Name]
