In the picture above is CNR 6000 proceeding onto the turntable and roundhouse in Dauphin, MB in the 1950's.  That locomotive was a 4-8-2 Mountain type Class U-1-a built by Canadian Locomotive Works in 1923.

We still are accepting signers to our petition which sits at 537 verified signatures!! THANK YOU!!

For those that haven't seen the Letter to the Editor published in The Dauphin Herald by former Dauphin Rail Museum President Derm English (2002 - 2019), you can read the article on our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=1530481814948643&set=a.739138544082978

Just an update, a meeting is scheduled with the City of Dauphin on Tuesday, May 20th regarding the future plans of the turntable.  When we last met with the City the idea was to create an off site memorial with a portion of the turntable (6 foot portion of one side of the bridge and the motor).

Since then I have had Don Tarrant of Reit-Syd Equipment reach out and do some amazing investigative work with Minty's Moving Ltd. on the possibility of the full removal and transfer of the turntable to another location closer to the Station.

I won't divulge any more information at this time because much of this is contingent on how the meeting with the City goes on the 20th.

Following that, we will give more details.
