As an invested member of the Chamber Music ensemble at York College of Pa, I am compelled to share our story. Our class is more than just an elective; it's a lifeline for many of us. This ensemble represents the only auditioning vocal group where students can receive academic credit and delve into complex musical pieces that our larger chorus can’t.

Our dedication and hardwork have been recognized on numerous occasions. Notably, we have just performed at President Dr. Burns' inauguration - which speaks volumes about our quality and commitment. Yet ironically, this very group they hired for their special event is now facing cancellation.

This decision doesn't just affect us; it impacts future students who rely on such opportunities for their educational and musical growth plus their scholarship prospects. Some of us have received college scholarships based on our participation in this ensemble - a testament to its value and significance.

We urge you to reconsider this decision not only for the current members but also for future generations who will miss out on these invaluable experiences if the Chamber Music ensemble ceases to exist.
