Time is running out. In just weeks, bulldozers could roll into our beloved playground and community, tearing through precious green space and destroying a vital koala habitat. Once it's gone, it's gone forever.

We urgently need to raise funds to secure expert advice that can help pause this development and demand proper consultation with the community, environmental specialists, the school, and local residents.

We've launched a GoFundMe campaign, and we need your support more than ever. Every contribution, no matter how small, will help us fight for our children, our Koalas, and our community. Right now, we are not being heard and sadly the project appears to be moving forward. We must act now while we still can.

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: we support new preschools for Port Macquarie. But this site is simply the wrong choice. If built here, it will:

• Destroy a vital koala corridor that our school and students have nurtured and protected for many years as well as invested in the importance of conservation
• Strip away two-thirds of our children’s playground and green space robbing them of room to play, learn, and connect with nature
• Compromise the wellbeing and safety of local students, families, and the wider community permanently by increasing traffic, creating unsafe drop-off zones, and obstructing visibility around the school
