Today, January 13, the Saraland Planning Commission voted unanimously to reject the proposal to rezone the property located at the northwest corner of Celeste Road and Lafitte Road. Thank you to everyone who signed the petition, attended the meeting, and made your voices heard. Your support and involvement truly mattered and helped make this outcome possible. That said, I have been informed that the property owner’s representative may still take this rezoning request before the Saraland City Council for a vote. Once I receive confirmed details about whether and when this item will appear on a City Council agenda, I will share another update immediately.
