Happy rainy afternoon everybody!
We have gained $1,400 signatures so far on this petition. I have reached out personally to City council, and I'm waiting to hear back.
On this lovely rainy March day our big amazing oak tree is pumping gallons of sap up and down it's trunk just like it has for the last 264 years. What an amazing thought!
Please share this petition and this cause, it is a very important one! Check out the new blog posts from the Sterling Oak official web page. It's very educational and makes me want to protect this tree even more.
Please reach out to our Sterling Heights city council members, and possibly the Chaldean Community Foundation to ask them to spare this beautiful big oak. It never hurts to ask. We are all trying to be good neighbors and we are creative problem solvers who love our community. We can come together for a good solution that works for everybody! I am confident of this.
