Thanks to those of you who came out and heard from the candidates on Monday evening. It was an interesting night, to say the least. It was not surprising that Balcones was a hot topic. It is evident that the incumbents are defensive about how they mishandled the whole situation.

What stood out the most was Patrick Dale's willingness to lie to residents about how information was shared. When it was brought up that some of our members asked in the September board meeting to simply share a timeline of events, he said that we were asking for fundraising. This couldn't be further from the truth. Mysteriously, the video for this particular meeting is also MISSING from the website. This board has shown a pattern of unwillingness to share information and advocate for this community and it has to STOP.

To set the record straight, only private funds FROM SUPPORTERS have been used in our action with attorneys. No money from the board or the community budget has ever been allocated to the fight with the city, nor will it ever be.

Patrick was clearly upset that he had received a certified letter from OUR ATTORNEYS to preserve any correspondence with regard to Balcones. He also misstated that Kay Whitt was suing the board. Although Kay has been instrumental in our cause, she has never had any plans to sue the board or any member of the board. It is NOT the intention of Preserve Lake Ridge to EVER sue the board. The letter that Patrick received would have stated that he was being asked by our attorneys to preserve documentation. No individual's name would have appeared. This was a blatant and desperate attempt by Patrick to hurt a candidate.

This election is of the highest importance. Please DO NOT PROXY your vote to the board. In order to enact change and stop this sort of behavior in our community, PLEASE DO NOT VOTE FOR ANY INCUMBENT. In other words, do not vote for Patrick Dale or Lew Blackburn. It is time for new leadership, fresh ideas, and TRANSPARENCY.

ONLINE VOTING IS LIVE! You will also be receiving a letter with a copy of each candidate's application along with a ballot. This ballot can be used instead of digital voting, but IF YOU CAN vote online, do so. It is the most secure way to vote. Voting will run from NOW until MARCH 5 at noon.

You will be able to cast a vote for 2 positions. Your choices for NON INCUMBENTS are Kay Whitt, Roger Welch, and Antoine Scott. There are two other choices on the ballot that are not incumbents, but because they did not attend the forum, we are unaware of their platforms and cannot recommend them at this time.
