JPI is holding a town Hall meeting Monday December 11th at 6:30 PM at Conway Elementary School. This is your chance to engage let them know why you are opposed:

  1. Approval of the reclassification of the proposed property to R-2 opens up a Pandora's Box for further, higher density development in the area, especially the school-owned property located on Clift Farm Rd.  A likely scenario is that this could become residential housing, either affordable housing or workforce housing.
  2. The development will contribute almost 280 additional drivers to already overcrowded roads. Despite JPI's assertion that these are retirees who don't drive as much, the reality is they will mostly be working adults.
  3. The proposed development is poorly aligned to the Comprehensive Plan, both in the location of an age-restricted community far from the public and commercial services to support it, and it's location surrounded primarily by A-1 zoned land outside the USA. Of the almost 7000' feet of adjoining land that abuts this proposed development, only 1000' of it borders Hickory Ridge, an R-1 zoned development.  The remainder is A-1 and primarily outside the USA.

PLEASE COME AND INVITE AFFECTED NEIGHBORS! SILENCE IS APPROVAL OF MORE HOUSING, TRAFFIC AND CROWDED CLASSROOMS.
