Hi All!
I just wanted to thank you for your support! We have OVER 250 signatures in just 48 hours. That is AMAZING. We had been called the "vocal minority" but YOU have made it clear we are not! We are halfway to our goal of 500 signatures. Keep forwarding our petition!
I am going to ask you for another favor...
Our societies have STILL been quiet on this proposal, they have not spoken out in opposition.
Please please, email the following and voice your opposition!
We respectfully ask the current President of SART, Steven Spandorfer, MD, and the current President of ASRM, Paula Amato, MD request that ABB remove this proposal from their docket until a FULL, TRANSPARENT, UNBIASED review is conducted that allows membership notification, feedback, review, and discussion.
I am hearing that many in leadership positions at these organizations were not informed of this official proposal that was formally presented to ABB on November 15th, 2023. This formal proposal was sent to ABB WITH the approval of representatives from SART, ASRM and SRBT. Many members of these societies have only learned of this initiative from this petition. That is NOT OK.
FACT: The proposal made to ABB is riddled with inaccurate information, which was misleadingly utilized to advocate for the urgency of this initiative. This petition refutes the asserted pressing need and highlights the clear misrepresentation of data sent to ABB. Consequently, there is compelling proof that the proposal should be promptly withdrawn from further consideration.
abb@abbcert.org The ABB Board will vote on this proposal in Feb/March
