We are writing to you today with an update regarding our ongoing efforts to save Connelly Mill Park. As you know, we've been working tirelessly to protect this cherished natural space from the threat of motorsport or other destructive events.

We’re excited to share that there's been a significant development in our favor: The Wicomico County Council has introduced Legislative Bill No. 2024-06, which aims to amend the County Code to require County Council approval for any lease, license, permit, or contract for the use of county property that includes motor vehicles.

This is a crucial step forward in safeguarding our park and ensuring that any future decisions about its use are made with transparency and public input.

But we need your help to make this bill a reality.

I urge you to attend the public hearing on Tuesday, July 16th, at 10:00 AM in the Council Chambers of the Government Office Building in Salisbury. This is our opportunity to voice our support for the bill and demonstrate overwhelming public demand for the protection of Connelly Mill Park.
