SP 8579 seems to be the luckiest one that could make it to preservation

Looking at all the SP SD40M-2s on NREX, the widely known photographed SD40M-2 #8579 looks to be in good condition. According to Seth Cullers, he stated "that sounds like a good plan but you have to bring a large donor to the table or the conversation can’t go forward."
